drumax aka Martin Setek is a dnb DJ from Prague, Czech Republic, playing mostly liquid funk and jump up, mixed with techstep and autonomic from time to time. His favourite labels are Bassdrive, Hospital, Critical, Shogun Audio, Spearhead, Run DNB, etc.
The first time drumax got in touch with electronic music was in 2004, when a music-production software got into his hands.
During the year 2007, his interest in djing rapidly grows and after some time, he catches the basics. In the beginning of 2008, he releases his first dj-set publicly, which gets to Czech DJ Voce from sunflower bitches crew - this was one of the milestones of drumax’s career - Voce explanes the important principles of djing and its techniques to drumax.
At the end of 2008, he gets to Ceský Tešín’s dnb crew Bass Defense, which means drumax’s first appearings at local club actions. At the turn of 2008/2009, he releases his “New Year’s Eve” set, which means another milestone in drumax’s style, due to possitive reactions.
In 2009, drumax moves to Czech Republic’s capital city Prague, as a fresh new start for his career. At the end of the same year, he releases “New Year’s Eve 2010” - this set smashes the year-before one, highly rated, critically acclaimed, suggested by the biggest Czech set-site Sety.cz, placed first at several charts, such as weekly downloaded and brings “top-society” contacts for drumax.
At the beginning of 2010, he meets dnb crew Bass Bros and taking advantage of their spaces, drumax is starting to build his own Prague studio. During the summer of the same year, drumax appears at several Prague’s actions, side by side with Bass Bros and at the end of 2010, he founds his own dnb crew called Heartbeat - nowadays with four members - which organizes regular Prague dnb club nights.
